Any reports on ice conditions and snow build up off Wager's.

Ice the other day was solid black ice 6". Snow was 4-6" on top of that... tough walk out there if you are dragging a hut. Lots of quads out.

Hit up Wager's today... was a brutal walk out but I made it to my waypoint. Lots of decent marks on the screen but only a few jumbo perch to show for it. Maybe I should have called ahead..but I assumed my regular bait shop would be open but his hours had changed, so I googled around and found a 24/7 minnow guy that has a self-serve system on his property. He saved my trip, kudos to that guy.

Learned a tough lesson today too. My propane hose was frozen solid and cracked as I tried to hook up my heater. I was without heat and froze my buns off. Lasted on the ice until 11:00 then called it, but I wish I could have stayed out longer. Next time I will bring a backup, and keep it in a backpack or something--not exposed to the elements.
