Coming up this afternoon to set out a hut for the weekend. Was thinking of going to Green Point. Seems to have some structure and deep water according to Navionics anyway. I recognize that no-one can guarantee anything about the ice, but was hoping for general feedback as to its thickness and condition? I know it is near Huffs and there is reportedly current there. I have only fished near CFB Trenton and Bay Marine in the past. Also looking for a place to park for the weekend so we can tow our stuff out with sleds. Thanks and if you see a green plastic molded hut that looks like one of those old truck campers, feel free to stop by for a chat and a beverage.

Can't give you any info on ice or current, but you might try calling or e-mailing Bayside Cottages on Green Point for access to the water and parking.

I fished huffs yesterday afternoon. The snow is gone and 3 "of standing water and on the clear patches and slushy everywhere else. Where I was the ice was 5-7" of mostly black ice but I did punch a hole in some grey ice that was 5" but only 2" of it was black the rest was grey ice. In terms of green point there is no access to that area except by machine . There is lots of similar structure in long reach and alot closer than going all the way down there.
