Fishing the Trent

Myself and a couple buddies are gonna try the Trent River this weekend. Heading out from German Landing... has anyone fished this section between Frankford and Campbellford and if so where are some spots to check out. Any help would be much appreciated, I'm a bit of a beginner.

Use the navionics app.... and the answer is NOPE..

j/king... what do you plan to target? Big lures for big fish, smaller ones for smaller fish.

We want to try and find some bass but honestly we aren't sure what is good in the river. I've heard and read there is bass, walleye, pike and musky all call the river home. If anyone has any insight to what is the best to target right now we are open to suggestions.

Hi there I fish that section often. That’s the beauty of the Trent you can catch multiple species any visit There are big pike and Musky I usually troll big baits and for Bass cast cranks or whacky worm to typical spots shorelines weedlines fallen trees... walleye good luck tough but they are there gotta get on the bottom and live bait helps for sure!!

When the water temps start dropping, the only species you should fish for over the next few months is muskie.. I don't fish bass so maybe Shana could help you? Walleye are tough to get this time of year but plentiful on the ice.... I would suggest and a silver jointed rapala #13 to cover all fish this time of year.. Good Luck !
