This is a short report from a non-fishing perspective from Hay Bay.

Reports were varied, but everyone agreed, LOTS of boats out and the manners were not very good.

The fishing was sporadic for some and great for others. One boat with a couple of young boys fishing landed 13 eyes, all nice over 18", another boat got one, another one got 3.

The high light of the day was a young lad fishing off the docks with a small lure, without a worm, who hooked and landed a 28" eye, around 8lbs. He had no net but another boy reached in and got the fish with his hand. The father got a nice picture, I believe his son's PB.

Skies are grey with a cool wind this morning.

Stay Tuned

I've fished Deseronto 3X's so far this year and have found the manners to be excellent. In fact had many conversations about what was working, the weather and just out having fun. People even offered information....ie....where they caught them 'this morning'. I find if you smile and kid around a bit people are great. In fact a week ago, we weren't doing very well down the river until a couple of local young guys came out. When asked, they told us exactly where to go...ha, in a good way. And were they ever right !!

Weekend was not good Saturday only found a couple around ram and Sherman’s. Sunday morning switched things up abs headed to the flats figured they should start biting down there. And we don’t very well. A couple fish even in the 4-5 pound range.
