Nice to see this event return after a 2 year pause.
The annual Blair Smith Memorial Fishing with Kids event returns later this month.
The free fishing tournament for kids up to 13 years old will be held at RiverFront Square behind the TD Bank in downtown Trenton August 27.
The event has been held annually in honour of Blair Smith since 2008 with the exception of the last two summers when it was cancelled due to the pandemic.
Organizer Tammy Smith, says her late husband loved all things related to fishing and spent many hours enjoying the sport with his children.
The tournament will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include prizes and a free BBQ for participants.
Participants can register at the event to be entered to win prizes.
