We got out at Sherman's Point Sunday morning for a fish. Hit Mallory Bay with lots of boats already there. Tried and tried but no takers. We switched over to Sherman's Point and managed 1 small walleye. Off to smiths cove and then the church. Zero success. 6 hrs in and nothing.. The bite has really slowed.. Good luck out there....

I had heard that the fishing had tailed off, just like past years towards the end of July.

Thanks for sharing your outing, better luck next time

They are still there and still biting, look for weed edges 10-12 fow away from the other boats! been doing well all summer with good sized 18-20" fish, long line a home made worm harness,1/4oz inline sinker 36" leader #5 blade, 4-5 beads, single hook, 1" of worm locked in by 3' twister tail, chartreuse, beads , blade n tail have taken the majority, white or the watermelon colors take the rest, slow n quiet is the key, 1.2mph with electric trolling motor and avoid other boats, not a subtle take, they usually hammer it! Easy for novice fishers to recognize a bite, early morn, midday or dusk don't matter.

No problem limiting out few times I’ve been there instead of chasing bass. Trolling harnesses worked well but did well throwing hardware to edges of weed with rock areas. New Berkley power switch in perch 1/4 & 3/8 has been deadly jigging edges!
