This is happening in Ont now and a lot closer than you might think.

This group needs some recognition

I now support their action. Groups and business that are not government and not operating on government facilities should not be doing government work.

Are you referring to the stores and business that have always sold hunting and fishing licences, such as the local bait stores, sporting stores etc?
I agree with you, something must be done, the gov't needs to stand up and take note of what's going on. Maybe some OPSUE members out there can provide us with some names and numbers of gov't members to call and start adding pressure. But what about the fishermen out there that don't have their licences for opening weekend, or the visitors from out of country that will be here to fish? Do we tell them to sit on shore and watch, or fish illegally since there will be no enforcement on the water anyway???? It's a tough situation. Maybe time for public lobby as well to support the MNR folks?

I do not support OPSEU actions that disrupt independent business owners from selling licences and especially disrupting community activities like the volunteer conservation efforts.

I can now understand the government admin. actions.

I cannot support OPSEU tactics. They need to have their leadership pourged of bad apples.
