Nothing turns people, especialy locals against fishermen is garbage and I don't blame them. If you don't want to take it back , don't take it with you!

Precisely why it is now so hard to have access to get on to Scugog. So many people complained and so they should....they live there!!!! It`s not that hard to bring the garbage home!!!!
Trucks and cars out ..... sheeesh!!! I`m still hesitant on bringing the ATV down.

It's a shame people can't pick up their litter. All these people want a quality fishery in Belleville then we get the jerks who don't know how to use a garbage can. Are the fish still biting at Point Annne?

I was out at Point Anne Wed., in and around the red buoy, fished from about 1pm to about 8pm, caught a fat pike about 6-7 pounds within 5 minutes of setting up, had one nice fish, nto sure what it was about half way up and lost it (liek to think it was a big walleye) other than only a few very light bites, nothing on the tip up, still had the 2 original minnows on it at the end of the day and they were still alive.

Was a bit shocked when about 4pm I hear what sounds like a car, I open up my portable and here is a car driving within 10 feet of my hut, almost ran over my tip up.

Guys I talked to said the bite had dropped off over the past day, did not see anyone catch a walleye, but heard a couple guys saying they had 1-2, did see a couple pike though and one guy with a big fat perch.

Went out again Thursday morning and fished until noon, a few light bites but no takers plus it was snowing heavy and I had a long drive back to Burlington, ended up being a lot longer with the accident on the 401 so a 3 hour drive home turned into about 5.

Also wanted to thank all the guys who stopped and offered me a ride in and out as they saw me walking (one man black Frabill) really appreciated the offers guys.

On the garbage issue I am usually never fish "local" as I live in Burlington, so I am really concerned about land owners limiting access to good fishing and non-fisher people lobbying to limit fishing because of inconsiderate people littering. It really ticks me off to see what is obvioulsy freshly dropped garbage by other fisherman, I always try to pick up litter that I see, in fact I try to fill at least one plastic type grocery bag whenever I am out fishing, hunting or hiking, it does not take a lot of effort, would a lot less if everyone took care of their own litter. My wife always jokes I come home with more garbage than fish.............

Have to work today, now the question is where to fish ont he weekend, back to Quinte or try for some perch at Long Point, so little time so much fishing to be done.

You provide a GREAT example Pugsli for all to follow in picking up the garbage. If everyone did that whether fishing, walking, hunting etc. our old world would be much better not to mention greener. CONGRATS

I was out in the hut fishing this morning and caught a 10lb at 8am and a 6lb at 9am, both eyes. Both on a gold n orange smoothy, last weekend i got 2 - 3lb eyes one on a swedish pimple and the other on a black buckshot. Point Ann west has been good so far, haven't been skunked yet!
