Our family is looking to vacation in the Picton area in late July and are wondering what the walleye fishing is usually like that time of year? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Ron,

We usually have good fishing in July.

If you're in Picton, the Picton Bay area is good, especially the weed edges.

You can fish the weed edges outside of Picton Bay along the shore towards the ferry.

Keep reading the board and go back into the archieves from the last number of years and see what was happening and what was taking fish.

Lotsa Luck

Ron,

If you put your boat in at Macfarlands conservation area you can fish out front of there but if the Cement boat is in dont bother

Good Luck

Dave

I agree with Blue, Long Reach always produces for myself in the summer.... Just find the schools of bait fish and you'll get em!

Guys--Thanks for the positive feedback. Sounds like great fishing. The grandkids will enjoy this fishing very much. We have confirmed the last week of July, so I'm looking forward to talking to some of you fellow fisherman on the water.
Catch ya later
