I understand that this was on the news yesterday. Apparently it happened on the Tyendinega reserve. Featured on channel 11, and attended by a couple of media people. I do not know the MNR responce.
Personally, I hope that this helps people from all cultures into beginning to appreciate our finite walleye population.
Perhaps MNR will consider the Napanee hatchery at some point, given that this would be a major show of cooperation (maybe even get the NApanee people to raise them to a larger size to fall in line with MNR program, policy, etc.).
