No kidding!!! I knew theft was an issue that way but I really didn`t think it was that bad. At the park I`m at on East lake I have never encountered any theft. Yet, knock on wood!!! I have been there 16 years, but I would hate to be the one caught sniffing around my boat. Grizz said it "they got balls" cause they would get a thumping for sure!!! We all work so hard to pay for all our gear!!!
Water levels on East are bad as well, same scenario with getting my boat off the bunks, truck up to bumper and had to really pulland push the sucker off!!! Walleye has been pretty good there, caught 5 so far biggest was a 4 and change and a 3, all other were good eaters. I was surprised cause I usually get a few pencils that are not worth keeping!!
What you need to try on West is off of your dock at dusk with hair jigs, specially after a windy day!!! At this time of year they are in shallow at dusk!!!
I have only caught 1 at Quinte so far, but I am not the bottom bouncer type fisherman, I fish mostly for pike when it is early in the season.. Did catch some great pike though, my son has caught one around the 14 lb mark and I caught one that was 12lbs all kinds of others.

Somebody at the Hideaway used to burgle our canoe every year and we would go burgle it back.

I don't doubt it. Does this still happen? If so let me know and I can definately help with your catching of these scumbags. Its one thing to steal a canoe but to use it on the same lake. Thats not having "balls" thats having no brains!

Kris , Thanks for the offer but its been a few years. I think someone would find it in the marsh where it was left for duck hunting and thought it was up for grabs.
