Hi, it has been over a month since my son (9yo) and I have been on the water. We are hoping to get out for some walleye fishing on Sunday. Before July, we had limited success around the west side of Cow Isle. I have only heard of great things at Point Anne (not seen). Can anyone help with a tip or an idea. We drift with the wind using jiggernaut chartreuse green worm harnesses. The last time out,(3hours ) we got 1 eater approx. 2lb and 1 sheephead. This presentaion has served us very well in years past but not this year. We usually fish in the Belleville area is this half of our problem? The last three years at Point Anne we fished the edges of the weed beds anywhere from 5-9 feet and usually ended up with 3-4 walleye as well as other species after 2-3 hours. Any help is greatly appreciated especially since I am losing my son to the world of Bass fishing! Thanx and good luck on the water.

try finding some deep weed lines and cast or troll some crank baits. or try a worm harness with 3 big sinkers an dredge the bottom youll find em ! i have alot of luck with taildancers and jointed shad raps in the 5cm size.

Gotta agree with Matt. The walleye are really relating to weed lines right now. Find the weed lines cast along the edge or into the weed bed. Try to maintain bottom contact if you are jigging or drifting harness'.

Thanx for the ideas. We went out this morning and brought in 3 walleye. Point Anne 14ft of water and Rush bar 16 feet.

We are heading out to Big Bay area tomorrow for a few days.
Anyone have any ideas on where to start fishing on the bay?
It is supposed to be windy so fast drift appears to be in teh cards.
Any help appreciated
Suds
