I think the skin mounts look way more real, but the Bucket is pretty impressive too!!!

A shade over 8 pounds....thats huge. It would be neat to see before and after pics with the fish and the mounts just to see how the replicas compare to the skins. Nice trophies for sure. Congrats.

no walleye 9,the two together ,the smaller one is from the bog-10.1,and there are lots of big eyes there!! biggest i,ve saw in person was a 12--pine point area, about 4-5 yrs ago me and two buddys had a run of giants one day,7 fish over 6lbs including the 12,rare but not uncommon,if you ever get the chance go up the scogog river during the spawn, amazing,or at the lock in Lindsay-you won,t believe the size of some of the fish spawning in the shallows,,also an old mount in Cesarea marina -i would guess to be 13-14 along with several huge muskies!!!the 13.2 is a Quinte fish, bottom of big bay about a km away from telegragh,on a chrome/purple champ...

Cool...The river is probably the only spot in Scugog where I haven't fished!! Caught a 36" muskie off Ceasarea boat launch last summer. Also caught a 9 pound pickerel in Rice Lake last summer. 30 degree temperature right around 12:00 noon. Couldn't believe it!!!!!! Kawarthas have some decent fish!!!!!

some big fish for sure, these new regs for the kawarthas really SUCK though,i haven,t fished scogog since they came into effect, spend good money ,minnows, lures, gas etc to get some dink eyes, not worth the drive even from Oshawa, cant keep a 2.5lb eye, their gonna destroy the lake, all big predators, will wipe out the baitfish population in a few years, this isnt Quinte where the population is transient, migrating back and forth to Lake Ontario, its a self sustaining population, the fishery has been open{to a slot limit }forever and still produces all size fish, now they only want you to take fish under 2.5 lbs,its gonna backfire on them!!!!!

Was out shorefishing in the late fall, on Rice, caught 4 pickerel, and couldn't keep any because of the slot. 2 under, and 2 over. It is pretty tight!! I didn't really care, because I did catch. Maybe in a few years, there will be more and bigger Pickerel to catch!!! If everybody follows the rules. LOL There used to be a bottom slot on Quinte, I believe, and they removed it. Maybe it does help!!!!

P.S. I heard on a fishing show (can't remember which one) that if there is alot of small walleye in the water, it means the lake is "Healthy"
