Quinte Fishing

Long storey short dad use to moose hunt in a group but this year he was not going to but so he didnt loose his tag status he put in alone for area 54 and they sent him a calf tag. Can I go buy a tag and hunt with him?

You sure it was a calf tag for area 54 as i dont believe 54 had a calf tag draw. Thats just his moose liscence, a calf tag. You can hunt anywhere there is a moose season and hunt calves with exception to a few areas around the park.

Short answer longer. Only areas 48, 55A, 55B, 57 have a draw for calf. You'll get a calf tag as well when you get your license good for hunting calves only anywhere in Ontario except the previously mentioned WMU's.
Your Dad is still in Pool 1 as well assuming he applied for the draw in WMU 54. The safest way to apply and ensure you do not get a tag and still maintain your Pool 1 status is to apply to WMU 99Z.
