Moose and deer season is over for me, only got out 2 days for the moose hunt, got blanked, chipmunks were the only thing I saw. The morning I leave BANG! down goes a bull and I missed being there. Deer hunting same thing only had 2 days to hunt, and have a big cow moose come out to me 30 feet away, we stare each other down for 10 seconds and off she goes, same luck, see moose in deer hunt. Of course after I leave, down goes our camps first deer for the week. The only thing good that comes from this is when I leave everyone else gets shooting. haha!

I however look forward to next year and being able to hunt the full term for both seasons. Wish everyone better luck than I had and most important be safe and hunt smart.

Main thing is you were out there and had a good time. Cool you got to see the cow like that. Hopefully the guys will throw you a steak or two...

The camp is setup so that whoever hunts regardless of duration gets a share, over the week 16 guys ended up splitting the lone bull. It's a taste at least.

Gene, your day will come. At least now you know what they look like,
without having to look at the picture taped to your wrist. Haha.

wasn't really complaining, I have shot more than my fair share of deer, my first moose hunt was this year and really looking forward to more moose hunts.

My apologies if I have offended you, I was unaware that this was your first
moose hunt. Having hunted moose very successfully for over 50 years, I was
just having some fun with your comments on your experiences on that first
Hunt. Over the years every moose hunt goes down in the books as the best
hunt ever.
You will see.

Blue, no offence taken, I didn't take any from your statement . I really enjoyed both hunts and look forward to many more.

Being up there, spending time with friends and enjoying the fresh air is what's most important. As nice as it is to come home with some meat, it's not the best way to measure a sucessful hunt. Glad you enjoyed yourself. I'm looking forward to my first ever moose trip hopefully in the not too distant futur.
