Well it’s a done deal. That’s right, the WIG’ster has a new ride!!! Well, new to him anyway! Found a deal I just couldn’t pass on. Saving myself thousands of dollars. It’s a Sylvan, 4-year-old boat, is 16 ft long and has a 4 Stroke 75 hp Honda motor.

This one has virtually everything I was looking for, plus the Honda motor was the kicker for me.

So I now have a bimini top, full stand up top and tonneau covers. My original idea was to upgrade to a boat that had a bigger motor. I was actually thinking that would entail a bigger boat but, after seeing this puppy, I feel this is more than adequate for my trips to the BOQ and wherever! And should suffice nicely to haul my 14 year old son and 10 year old daughter around on a tube and water skiing.

It’s got a fish finder, as well as a compass. Now I have to get a GPS, likely a handheld though, and a VHF radio. No need going overboard! I’m in the process of getting the downriggers and rods so hopefully I’ll be fully ready to go in the spring. Still need planer board mast and related paraphernalia, but that’ll come in time.

NOW let’s start the derby!!!!! Hehehehehehehehe!!!!

Check it out…

WIG,
Yaaahhhooo!!! Congrats on the new ride. Looks very nice. Perfect rig for trolling Quinte. The honda will save you big on gas and oil. I assume you be breaking it in this fall on Quinte???

Thanks guys, I'm chomping at the bit to get out. Still need riggers etc. But I'm working on that!

Thanks to Mechant Malade, another user of this site, I have a VHF radio on the way!

Thanks everyone :!:

Congrats WIG! That's is one sweet ride! Exactly what I am looking for

Maybe I'll see you on the waters this weekend.
