Alberta Mule Deer hunt

I just Wanted to share a picture of a Mule deer that I got on my Alberta hunt Last week south of Edmonton north of Red Deer . It was really cold while I was there the warmest it got was -9. Beautiful part of the country the scenery was spectacular and I had a blast out there hunting and one of my favorite things to hunt now. Mule deer are so different than whitetails I just loved it. I had a few shifts in the blind from sunup to sundown in -15 weather 10 hours looking down and oil line with woods on either side. And I loved every minute of it and I can't wait to do it again.

I am working in Drumheller AB right now. I travel the area between Edmonton and Red Deer a lot. It sure is amazing deer country.

Nice Buck. Those Muley bucks certainly are heavy bodied. Neat to see you got one with brow tines as well.

Very cool again Catcher. Congratulations on a great buck. You're getting quite the taste of the wild west this year.

I got a mulie bowhunting to the west of Red Deer by Burntstick Lake about 12 years ago. It's definitely a totally different world hunting mulies out there.

Ontbrent, we used to ice fish a small lake to the east of Drumheller for rainbows. Velveeta cheese was the bait of choice. Can't remeber the name of the lake though.
We also used to fish Crawling Valley Reservoir to the south of there and get lots of walleye and pike up to 20 lbs. We used to fish beside Pelican island named appropriatley because of all the pelicans that nest on it in the summer. We fished it summer and winter with great results.
