Made it out with Joe from PB & J Charters on a beautiful December day in search of some monster walleye. The day started out slow but the picture was great with some beautiful hooks.

After a few laughs and a little tweaking of the Captain Joe's program we are into our first fish. I get the rod from Joe and immediately can feel that I'm in for a fight. The fight was fantastic - numerous head shakes and with 15ft left on the counter she was right by the boat but not coming up. I was finally able to wear her out, she rose to the surface and Captain Joe slid the net under her. I knew right away it was a big fish but I didn't think 12lbs 14oz - BOOM new PB!!!

In the midst of taking photos and getting ready to release her the second rod goes off - a quick scramble and the Captain hands me the rod - 2 cranks and its off  But we have found a program that works and we are excited!!! 20 minutes later the first rod fires again and the Captain is on it quickly - He goes to hand it off and I say "How about you fight this one" he agrees and after a little tussle the Captian has landed a nice 10Lbs walleye.

We were finally into a good program but as luck would have it we had prior commitments to attend to and had to leave the water early. What a great day on the water with a first class guide and great service - If you're looking to get out this year or perhaps next from my experience this guide will do whatever he can to make your day enjoyable and get you on BIG fish - Thanks again Joe its a day I won't soon forget.

Fun day with you out there Derek regardless of the walleye's attitude to start the day lol. It was a hard decision to pull the pin when the fish turned on for the honey do list lol. We changed the "one last cast" phrase to "one more pass"

Thanks for the kind words guys I'm real lucky to be able to do what I do.
