He is at that.....I stayed at the hotel on the River where he lived for a while and we fished alot on the river around eachother.

Wow, was that a long time ago.

He sure was a nice guy.....we used to call him "Go-on!" (nothing offensive)cause he could catch fish like no other. After spending hours around the river and not catching anything, he'd show up and in a few minutes, show us all how it's done.

Did you spend a lot of time there too?

CHEERS!

I must have pressed the wrong button and started this thread by mistake.

You had mentioned a place where our friend had stayed. I am not familar with this as he did spend a great deal of time at my aunts, but alas I may have been away at college or something.

I used to fish the river a lot growing up, and even caught splake there in the late 70's. This was at the discharge pipe from the sping at Springside Park. It is a quite a fond memory and I look forward to living back in the area permanently at some point.

It was the motel going towards Deseronto.... now that I think about it, maybe he didn't live there. I stayed there for opening weekend a few times a long, long time ago with my Dad.

Well, CHEERS to the good old memories of the river. :D

I've only caught lakers there one year, consistently. They came in during the salmon spawn in massive schools. One and only time I ever saw this....must have been a wrong turn at Alba-kirk-ee!
:o
