Well I have been trying to put a buck in front of my son with the crossbow for a few weeks now and last Sunday a nice buck came in to 10 yards of us but unfortunately he made a bad shot on him ( buck fever ) and after a next day track job for 3 hours we could not find him . So he was a little down from that experience , but a friend of mine invited us up to his hunt camp the second week of gun season near Marmora for a gun hunt. And my son was fortunate enough to get a buck on Friday with his 20 gauge as the buck ran by us at 50 yards or so. It ended up being the only one for the camp for the week.

Congrats to the both of you. A special moment you will both remember forever. 8)

I still remember a morning back in 83 on a Pennsylvania hillside with my father and a 4 pointer like it was yesterday.

Great to see the youngsters enjoy the outdoors and learning how to put meat on the table. Well done men.

Awesome guys.
Chase, sorry to hear about the first one. Sounds like there was a hard lesson learned. It is tough when you lose one, but sooner or later it happens to us all. I'm certain everything was done properly to ensure it was recovered if possible. Chaulk it up to experience and a valuable learning lesson. You certainly have a great teacher to learn from.
Congratulations for keeping at it and getting a nice buck in the end.
