I agree. My group of friends fished the opener and stayed until Wednesday. The winds prevented us from traveling far on two occasions, but all in all the weather and the conditions were very favorable. We managed a bunch of eaters (3-5 lbs) on stick baits at sundown at the tip of Glen Island and throwing around the concrete pillars at the cement factory. The popular color was Pewter Pearl suspending Bomber. We haven’t seen early season action like this in quite some time. We saw many boats up and down Long Reach putting the net in the water, so that was a great sign that many other people were enjoying their outings as well.
